Story of 69
I was born on June 27, 1980. My first experience with my number happened in 2002, and it was so loud. It woke me up and made me notice. Since my first experience, my number has been with me. At first it was monthly, then weekly, daily, and now it is so predominate that when a number is NOT my recurring number, I take notice. I never look for it, but it is always there. To say I see my number several times a day is an understatement. I really do not understand why, and I would really like to know. It is so hard for me to grasp, as well as embarrassing to explain to others… For one, people think I am crazy unless they have a similar experience. Second, my number is somewhat of a naughty number. Here's how I got to this point:
In 2002, I purchased an orange juice from a gas station on a road trip. I opened it and looked at the bottle. There was a number printed across the entire bottle that read: 696969696969696969, and it continued, in a complete ring, around the entire plastic bottle stamped like a serial number. As this is a rather significant "naughty" number, I took notice right away and just thought it was strange that it would be manufactured like that. It is also a number that makes me blush when I tell people about "my number" that follows me everywhere.
About an hour after my first experience, I noticed a sign say 69 miles to Baltimore... Did you ever notice a 69 mile marker? I had never noticed that before, and it is a pretty random number to post on a road sign. I saw another one in Florida in my drive across state: 69 miles to Ocala. At first, it happened here and there, but it is now so prevalent that when a number I see is not 69, I think it is bizarre. When I look at the clock it is 6:09, or 9:06. When I look at my speedometer it always has a 69 combination.
It would be nice to tell you every thing that has happened, but I am so inundated it is near impossible to keep track… it would be a full time job. Below I have listed some highlights.
I have had three license plates in my life, all contain 69. I bought a wedding dress, my customer ID is ##69, the style of the dress contains a 69. His tux reservation number contains a 69. I went to a store last night, my bill was $9.06. Two months ago, I sprang for dinner and the bill was $69.69. This has happened to me two times. The bills and customer numbers and things that are physically printed made my skeptic fiancé a believer. He doubted me at first. He is so level headed and thought it was just a coincidence. Now he knows, like I do, that there is no way possible that this is coincidence or random chance or probability. It is statistically not possible… Now I tell him, guess how much it was, what room I stayed in, what number I was, and he can correctly assume it has a 6 and a 9 in it.
What is even more bizarre is meeting someone else with a recurring number. I know others think we are crazy, but it is so great to connect to someone who has the same thing happen. I have a friend who made a movie about his recurring number, which happened to be a time he would look at the clock. I met another person who had a number that reflected his birthday.
I want answers so bad. I want to know why this is happening. I do love the fact that it does happen to me, because it makes life more interesting. It is nature's little game with me. I looked into numerology, and my number is 69. I got this by adding my birth together: Birth month: June (6th month of the year) the date is 27 (2+7=9); 1980 (1+9=10; 1+0=1+8+0= 9). The astrological sign for a cancer, such as myself, is a 69, on it's side. I am getting married on June 27, 2008. Although the year does not come to a 9, the date itself stands as a 69, and 8 is a soft gentle number that pops up more frequently than others if I had to say. I am a very lucky person but I have not won the lottery yet. I have played on 6/9 and 9/6, and put a lot of money into it on 6/9/06. I have never won anything betting with this number, but I still want answers!!
So on with my quest for answers...
